The great Egyptian singer Umm Kulthum looks on from a bygone era of Arab secularism onto the viral antics of Saudi youth balancing on 2-wheeling Nissan Patrols. All while a verse from the Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish connects the past with the present and reminds the viewer of the hopeful possibilities of the future: “We have on this land that which makes life worth living”
